Fasano recieves the “Bandiere Verde” rating

Villa Tonia is pleased to inform you that the city of Fasano has been awarded the Green Flag this year, a particular recognition awarded by a pool of 196 pediatricians on the initiative of the monthly OK Salute. This rating indicates that the beaches are suitable for children and therefore recommended for families. An award that in Fasano is added to the Blue Flag, the Sails of Legambiente and the Ecotourism Oscar that was recently awarded to the Parco delle Dune Costiere.

What does the Green Flag imply for the beaches?
According to pediatricians, the best beaches for families must have a large beach with umbrellas enough apart from each other to allow children to play. Furthermore, sand is preferred to rocks and must be fine, clean and gently sloping towards the water, preferably shallow and clear.

In addition to the beach, importance is given to the presence of lifeguards, for greater safety, as well as to the facilities designed for the family: bar, playground,
restaurant.
Therefore, the best beaches, according to pediatricians, must be able not only to guarantee entertainment for the little ones, but also have to be safe and offer comfort to the parents because only when the parents are well are the children well.
